Moonshot AI hat das Sprachmodell Kimi K2 veröffentlicht, ein Mixture-of-Experts-Modell mit 32 Milliarden aktivierten und 1 Billion Gesamtparametern. Nach Angaben des Unternehmens wurde es mit dem Muon-Optimizer auf 15,5 Billionen Tokens trainiert und ist auf Werkzeugnutzung, Reasoning und autonome Aufgabenlösung ausgelegt. Es gibt zwei Varianten: das Basismodell Kimi-K2-Base und die für Chat und agentische Anwendungen ausgelegte Version Kimi-K2-Instruct.
